About the Author: Dr. Cooper is President and Partner of the DEO Dental Group. He has been a consultant and executive coach to the healthcare industry for almost 30 years - at the practice, corporate and organizational levels. Prior to his consulting career, Dr. Cooper was an academician, basic science researcher and practicing periodontist. Dr. Cooper has also worked with larger health care concerns such as insurance companies, clearinghouses, biotechnical and disease management companies, senior executives and boards of large hospital systems and related physician groups. This experience has provided him with many insights into the dental industry and the current changes that are occurring. The Annual SUMMIT conference was launched by Dr. Cooper and several colleagues in Seattle Washington in 2013. The annual conference was developed to educate and support dentist-entrepreneurs dedicated to creating managed group practices. The Dentist Entrepreneur Organization(R) was launched for dentist-entrepreneurs in search of resources to assist them in growing their group practices and themselves as leaders and executive managers.
