Der Prager Musiker Erwin Schulhoff (1894-1942) wirkte nach Kriegsende 1919/20 in Dresden, veranstaltete Fortschrittskonzerte und korrespondierte mit Schonberg und Grosz. Anregungen des Expressionismus, Dadaismus und Jazz finden sich in seinem Werk. Die Texte, die von einem unangepassten Menschen zeugen, werden durch einen Abbildungsteil mit Fotos aus dem Prager Nachlass, Zeugnissen aus dem Leipziger Studium, Dada-Dokumenten aus Wien und Belegen seiner Affinitat zur innovativen Kunstszene Dresdens erganzt. Der Erstdruck des kommentierten Tagebuchs tragt zur biografischen Kenntnis Schulhoffs bei, den die deutsche Besatzungsmacht 1941 in Prag inhaftierte. Er starb im Internierungslager fur Sowjetburger auf der Wulzburg (Bayern) an Tuberkulose. Mit Beitragen von Manuel Gervink, Michael Heinemann, Matthias Herrmann, Jorn Peter Hiekel, Tobias Schick, Johannes Schmidt, Miriam Weiss und Tobias Widmaier.
