About the Author: Ajay K. Khanna, MS, FRCS, FAMS, FACS, FICS, FACRSI, MNAMS, MBA, DSc, FRSTMH, FAIS, FUICC, FUWAI, FFIM, FMAS, PDCR, is Professor of Surgery and Ex-Head of the Department of General Surgery at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India. He has been awarded as Professor Emeritus by National Academy of Medical Sciences. Prof. Khanna has a teaching experience of more than 40 years and has been awarded with Young Outstanding Teacher and Eminent Surgical Teacher. He is the examiner for MBBS, MS, BDS, DNB and FNB in minimal access surgery and M.Ch in endocrine surgery. He has guided more than 50 theses for MS course. He is fellow/member of 33 societies. Prof. Khanna has delivered more than 100 CME lectures, more than 200 guest lectures in various national and international conference in India, UK, USA, Japan, Poland, Egypt, etc., and presented more than 350 presentations in various national and international conferences. He has delivered more than 18 orations. He has more than 350 publications in various national and international journals and 75 chapters in various books to his credit. He is the editor of five books. He was the joint editor for Indian Journal of Surgery.

He is Professor in General Surgery at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India with a teaching experience of 14 years. He has more than 120 peer reviewed international and national publications and has delivered numerous oral, poster presentations and invited lectures. With Research Gate score of 40.53, Dr Tiwary is amongst 2.5% of topmost researchers globally. He has keen interest in academics with special interests to phlebology, vascular medicine, wound management and lower limb pathology.
