GENRE: Children's Adventure (An Unofficial Minecraft Book for Kids Ages 9 - 12 (Preteen)
Book 1: Zombie No More
Welch has just been banished from the world of the monsters. A lone zombie, wandering the Overworld with only his trusty sidekick seems like a terrible fate. Luna, Welch's faithful pet cat is pleased to start a new life. She was not fit for the monster world, but can Welch fit in anywhere outside of the monster community?
Determined to start his new life, and continue making the discoveries that got him banned from the zombies in the first place, Welch sets off to see if he can make a home for himself in a faraway village. Disguises, new experiences, and an energetic cat keep Welch on his toes as he attempts to keep the villagers from discovering his new identity. Can he succeed in fitting in, or will the fact that he is a zombie have him forced out from the home that he, and Luna, have come to love.
Book 2: An Unlikely Friend
Welch, the zombie disguised as a miner, is still living in the peaceful village along the edge of the river. The others have welcomed him with open arms and, for the first time in his life, he feels like he has a home.
There is only one problem.
The village is expecting a visitor. The kind of visitor that could discover Welch's true identity and reveal it to his new neighbors. A REAL adventurer.
Welch must be careful so that this visitor does not suspect his ruse. Can he interact with the new neighbor without making a mistake that will give him away? When Welch learns that the adventurer plans to build a permanent post in the village, will Welch be forced to find another home?
As the two get to know each other Welch learns to care for his new friend, but how long can the zombie hide who he truly is, and what might happen if the truth is revealed?
Book 3: Rancid Annie
Welch continues his story as he must decide whether to return to a life of isolation, or join Jesse in his quest to drive Rancid Annie out of another village. The possibility of another village-zombie is both exciting and terrifying. Rancid Annie could be a terrible threat to the village, a spy for the zombie community, or an innocent creature looking to start a new life of her own. Can Welch discover Annie's intentions? Is it possible that Annie is not so different than Welch himself? Involving himself in the situation might destroy the cover that he had worked so hard to preserve. However, he cannot help but hope that a friendship can be established that would allow Welch, and other zombies like him, to live within the safety of the villages. Is the risk of revealing himself worth the future that he might attain? Or, will he lose everything, including his friendship with Jesse?
