Kosovo, 1999. Genocide looms on the horizon. The Defense Intelligence Agency network has been blown. The dying has already started. Survivors hope for a rescue. There is only one man for the job; Windwalker. Drew Santos, codenamed Windwalker, is an intelligence operative for the United States Military Intelligence Board. The MIB oversees all the intelligence agencies within the US Department of Defense. Windwalker is a twenty plus years veteran of the intelligence wars and has the scars to prove it. Windwalker is considered 'Mexican American' but some of the ways of his Aztec ancestors flows like a mystic river in his veins. Windwalker has experienced Animal Medicine, being visited by Native American angels, since he was a child and those visits have continued into adulthood. The gifts bestowed upon him by those Native American angels has enabled him to survive thus far. But he will need those and more to survive this mission at hand. Unknown to Windwalker, he has been targeted for termination by a secret group called the Eroders. It is the Eroders who have been manipulating Milosevic and the situation in Kosovo. Who are the Eroders? And what are the Articles of Infection? Under Cover Of Darkness is a rollercoaster ride from start to finish and the ending will stay with you long after the last page has been turned.
About the Author: John Siordia began writing poetry at age twelve. He progressed to novels as time went on. He's held a variety of jobs during the course of his lifetime, until many years later, he entered the security field. He spent ten years there, three years in the uniformed contract guard services, first as a security officer where he rose to site supervisor, field inspector, operations supervisor. His assignments included office buildings, industrial sites as well as condos, apartment buildings and even a stint as a security shift supervisor at a major hospital. He spent the last seven years in that field as an in house, plain clothes security agent, detecting and apprehending shoplifters. He was also responsible for detecting and preventing employee theft. Through all his experiences, his love for writing only grew stronger over time. In addition, he's been privately researching trends in intelligence and terrorism for over twenty years. He firmly blames his deceased father for his interest in espionage. (He took him to his first James Bond movie, Dr. No, in 1962, when he was only four years old.) Mr. Siordia is a husband, father and grandfather. He currently lives in the Midwest. Under Cover Of Darkness is his first published novel.
