Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Allgemeines und Grundlagen, Note: 1,3, Technische Universität Dresden (Soziologie), Veranstaltung: Max Weber- Rekonstruktion eines Klassikers, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Thema der vorliegenden Seminararbeit ist die Entstehung und Beschreibung sozialer Ungleichheit im Werk Max Webers. Hierbei wird auf verschiedene Ungleichheitsdimensionen eingegangen, die Weber in seinem Werk thematisiert. Zentral ist die Schichtungstypologie und die damit im Zusammenhang stehende soziale Ungleichheit, welche unter anderem aus der ungleichen Verteilung der Machtressourcen resultiert. Es werden die drei idealtypischen Legitimitätsgründe für Herrschaft angeführt und es wird darauf eingegangen, welche Unterschiede zwischen den drei idealtypischen Herrschaftsformen bestehen und welche Folgen sich hieraus für Beherrschte und Herrschende ergeben. Durch die Einteilung der Gesellschaft in Klassen ergeben sich Ungleichheiten, welche vor allem aus Unterschieden im Besitz resultieren. Bei der Einteilung der Gesellschaft in Schichten sind es Unterschiede in Prestige und Anerkennung, welche die Ungleichheit verursachen. In den Landarbeiterenquêten untersuchte Max Weber mit dem Verein für Sozialpolitik die Lage der ostelbischen Landarbeiter um der Frage nachzugehen, ob die Lebenssituation der Landarbeiter der landläufigen Meinung, dass Landarbeit vor allem im Vergleich zur Industriearbeit besonders niederträchtig sei, entspricht oder ob sich die Situation in der Realität anders gestaltet. Ein weiterer Punkt wird die Rassenzugehörigkeit als Kriterium für soziale Ungleichheit sein. Weber setzt sich bspw. kritisch mit der landläufigen Meinung auseinander, dass "Neger" einen typischen "Negergeruch" aufweisen und aus diesem Grunde unsauber seien und beschreibt die Lage der "Neger" in Amerika, welche aufgrund ihrer Hautfarbe mit Ausstoßungen konfrontiert sind.
