About the Book

This book was motivated by the desire we and others have had to achieve our dreams and success in our lives. Tariq's life begin when he was born in Bharatpur, India. This book is the result of struggles and achievement Tariq made throughout his life. You may think you have lived an unremarkable life, but succeeding generations will be interested in hearing it. What you consider normal and mundane will be interesting and slightly unusual to them. This book is the first heartfelt eyewitness account of Tariq's life before India Pakistan partition and after. He wrote in his autobiography about the partition bloodshed and what he has achieved as a Badminton Champion. He lived it, so to him, it was normal and mundane, but to his children, it is a tale from history.
About the Author: Susan Hill is an English author and short-story writer whose production initially stretched its top in late 1960's and early 1970's. Her merely strained novels observe the lives of small, at times eccentric individuals who look for life and warmth in their often frozen and sterile lives. She was born in 1942 to R.H and Doris Hill in Scarborough, a working-class city on the east shore of England. Hill joined the grammar school in Scarborough and Coventry and graduated with honors in English from King's College, the University of London in 1963. After her graduation, she reviewed books for the Coventry Evening Telegraphy till 1969, when she became a permanent critic, writer, and broadcaster. In 1975, Hill married the Shakespeare scholar Stanley Wells. They had a daughter and lived in Royal Leamington Spa, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. Hill's most of the stories are inscribed in a dramatic gothic style, particularly her ghost story The Woman in Black, published in 1983. She has also exhibited interest in traditional English flicker stories that relies on suspense and atmosphere to make its influence to the typical ghost stories. In 1987, this novel was turned into a play to continue to run in West End of London. The novel was also made a television film in 1989 and a film by Hammer Film Productions in 2012. In 2004, Hill created a sequence of crime stories featuring investigator Simon Serrailler, titled The Various Haunts of Men (2004). Hill was bestowed with Somerset Maugham Award (1971), the Whitbread Literary Award (1972) and the Rhys Memorial Prize (1972). Hill has lately started her own publishing firm, Long Barn Books that has published two Simon Serrailler short stories and The Magic Apple Tree, as well as The Dream Coat and Coloring In.
