Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Arbeit, Ausbildung, Organisation, Note: 1,3, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Zentraler Gegenstand der vorliegenden Arbeit wird eine kritische Analyse des instrumentellen Ansatzes sein, der einen Kausaleffekt zwischen Unternehmenskultur und konsistentem Verhalten der Mitarbeiter prognostiziert und damit letztlich eine Performancesteigerung des Unternehmens verargumentiert, um ihren Einsatz als funktionales "Managementtool" zu rechtfertigen. Die Leitfrage, die sich daraus ergibt und im folgenden beantwortet und diskutiert werden soll, lautet: Lässt sich eine Unternehmenskultur aktiv steuern? Um der Analyse einschließlich der Fragestellung nachzugehen, werden eingangs die Begrifflichkeiten sowie die verschiedenen theoretischen Perspektiven von "Organisation" und "Kultur" jeweils erläutert und differenziert, sodass "Unternehmenskultur" anschließend entsprechend verortet werden kann. In diesem Kontext wird darauffolgend kurz hergeleitet, warum die Kulturfrage mit den Jahren an Aufmerksamkeit gewinnt. Als repräsentativer Auftakt in die managementtheoretische Unternehmenskulturthematik werden schließlich im dritten Kapitel die einschlägigen Werke von Peters & Waterman (1982) und Deal & Kennedy (1982) vorgestellt, die jeweils ihr Modell als vermeintlich erfolgsversprechendes 'Kulturrezept' propagieren. Dies dient als spätere Diskussionsgrundlage. Im darauffolgenden Hauptteil der Arbeit wird, unter Bezug ausgewählter alternativer Ansätze, die sich von den eben benannten Beispielen abgrenzen, die Unternehmenskulturdiskussion soziologisch und anthropologisch eingefangen. So sind die systemtheoretische Perspektive durch Niklas Luhmann (2000), die These der kulturellen Inkonsistenz von Ulrike Berger sowie Ann Swidlers (1968) handlungstheoretischer Denkrahmen eines kulturellen "Werkzeugkastens" vertreten. Auch das Drei-Ebenen-Modell von Schein (1985) findet an der Stelle
