Die Tür hinter ihnen fällt ins Schloss, gedämpft dringt der Beat aus den Seventies der Vorzeit hinaus in die Nacht, die von einem unnatürlich orangefarbenen Licht gefärbt ist. Mit zittrigen Junkiefingern häufen die beiden Vampire ein tiefrotes Granulat auf ihre Handrücken, sie schwanken leicht, schnupfen es in ihre Nasen. Aus dem Halbdunkel hinter den Müllcontainern treten drei Gestalten, sie laden im Gehen ihre kurzläufigen Waffen durch. Vampire Blues. 2066. Die Vampire haben die Macht übernommen. Zu ihrem Schutz haben sie die Zodiaks erschaffen, biosynthetische Krieger, Roboter ohne Bewusstsein. Außerhalb der gesicherten Areale eine Bedrohung: die Sonnenkrieger, die menschliche Widerstandsbewegung. Innerhalb der gesicherten Areale: der Machtkampf um die Führung. Wird die Glut angefacht werden? Zwei Vampire, getötet am Hintereingang des Clubs 777. Ein Anschlag der Sonnenkrieger? Ein Signal?
