Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Semiotik, Pragmatik, Semantik, Note: 1,7, Universität Regensburg (Germanistik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit zwei Abschiedsformeln: "Tschüss" und "Baba". Im Gegensatz zu spezifischen Begriffen, wie beispielsweise "Paradeiser", werden Verabschiedungen meist mehrmals täglich von Sprechern genutzt. Sollte es also der Wahrheit entsprechen, dass typisch österreichische oder dialektale Verwendungen aussterben, so sollte man es am Gebrauch von Verabschiedungen - wie "Servus", "Pfiadi", oder in diesem Fall "Baba" - wohl am einfachsten feststellen können. Aus diesem Grund konzentriert sich diese Arbeit auf die als typisch bundesdeutsch geltende Abschiedsformel "Tschüss" und die dialektale österreichische Verabschiedung "Baba". Beide Begriffe werden im ersten Teil theoretisch durchleuchtet, wobei vor allem der sprachgeschichtliche Hintergrund im Fokus steht. Weiterhin wird erklärt, warum es nicht ohne weiteres möglich war, eine Korpusanalyse bei diesem speziellen Thema durchzuführen, sondern stattdessen eigens eine Umfrage zum Thema erstellt wurde. Diese stellt anschließend den Mittelpunkt des empirischen Teils dar. Sind Austriazismen vom Aussterben bedroht? Will man einigen kürzlich erschienenen Artikeln Glauben schenken, dann scheint es, dass es tatsächlich so ist. Sucht man mit Google nach "Austriazismen" bzw. "Österreichisch am Aussterben" findet man zahlreiche Artikel und Forenbeiträge, die sich mit dem Verschwinden der österreichischen Sprache beschäftigen. Vielen dieser Artikel liegt eine Untersuchung des Germanistikprofessors Peter Wiesinger zugrunde. Der Sprachwissenschaftler ließ Studenten Bilder betiteln und fand dabei heraus, dass österreichische Begriffe weniger häufig als in Deutschland übliche Verwendungen benutzt wurden, um das Gesehene zu beschreiben. Nach diesem Befund warnt er davor, dass Austriazismen auf längere Sicht hin betrachtet, von bundesdeutschen Verwendu
