Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Literaturwissenschaft - Slawische Länder, Note: 1,0, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Institut für Slavische Philologie), Veranstaltung: Magisterarbeit, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Untersuchungsgegenstand dieser Magisterarbeit soll jenes Meisterwerk "Čapaev i Pustota", so lautet der russische Originaltitel, des literarischen Jungstars Viktor Pelevin sein. Seit zwölf Jahren ist das Werk Gegenstand von Rezeption und unerschöpft kontroverser Diskussion. Einige sehen in Pelevin einen Schreiber der Postmoderne par excellence. Andere Rezipienten hingegen problematisieren diese Einordnung im Hinblick auf gravierende formale und inhaltliche Abweichungen. Da die Postmoderne sich dieses zeitgenössisch tragende Werk nicht mehr ohne weiteres einzuverleiben vermag, erhärtet sich der Verdacht, dass die zahlreich werdenden Rufe über das Ende der Epoche, wie sie beispielsweise auf den Literaturseiten der Zeit laut werden, durchaus ihre Berechtigung haben. Über eine grundsätzliche Annäherung an den Roman hinaus, wird daher versucht jene Merkmale von Pelevins Schreiben herauszuarbeiten, die über eine Epochenzugehörigkeit Aufschluss geben können. Es soll der Frage nachgegangen werden, weshalb sich für das Werk von Pelevin so leicht keine Kategorie finden lässt. Zunächst wird der theoretische Rahmen, der für die Analyse nötig ist, definiert. Der komplexe und differierende Begriff der Postmoderne kann anhand der Schwerpunktmerkmale des Zeichens, des Subjekts und des Zeit- und Geschichtskonzepts greifbar gemacht werden. Anschließend wird der Performatismus, das Nachfolgekonzept des Literaturwissenschaftlers Raoul Eshelman in seinen Grundzügen vorgestellt. Eine neue Haltung zu Zeichen, Subjekt, sowie Zeit- und Geschichtlichkeit steht in Wechselwirkung mit der Performanz, der doppelten Rahmung und dem Theismus; allesamt zentrale Strukturmerkmale des Performatismus.
