About the Author: David Fowler is the founder and president of (PSTI) Personal Safety Training Incorporated and AVADE Training LLC located in Coeur d' Alene, ID. He is responsible for the overall management and operations of PSTI and AVADE, which offers seminars, training, consulting, and protective details. Since 1990, David has been involved security operations, training, and protective details. He is the author of the SOCS(R) (Security Oriented Customer Service) program and training manual as well as the AVADE(R) (Personal Safety Training and Workplace Violence Prevention) programs and training manuals. He is also the author of book "Be Safe Not Sorry" - the art and science of keeping YOU and your family safe from crime and violence. David has worked with thousands of individuals and hundreds of agencies and corporations throughout the United States and Canada. His presentations have included international, national and local seminars. David is a certified master instructor in several nationally recognized training programs such as Workplace Violence Prevention (AVADE(R)), OC Pepper Aerosol Training, Tactical Handcuffing, Security Oriented Customer Service (SOCS), Defensive Tactics (DTS), Defense Baton, Security Incident Reporting System (SIRS), Code Gray Training and AVADE Personal Safety Training. David has certified and trained thousands of individuals in these programs and others throughout the United States and abroad. He is a Graduate of (ESI) Executive Security International's advanced Executive Protection Program and the Protective Intelligence and Investigations program. A member of ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security), The International Law Enforcement Educators & Trainers Association (ILEETA) and the International Association of Healthcare Safety & Security (IAHSS). He brings insight, experience, and a passion for empowering people and organizations utilizing the training programs and protective services that he offers here in the United States and in other countries. He is considered by many to be the most dynamic and motivational speaker and trainer in the security and personal safety industry. David is happily married to the love of his life, Genelle Fowler.
