About the Book

Maggie was an traditional married woman, in her forties living in NewYork. She had worked hard and succeeded in making a great career forherself in a leading Insurance company. The job left her tiredand weary after a long day dealing in a masculine environment, in which, she felt, she had to be more than perfect in her work ethic and also in her appearance. Her greatest thrill at that time was driving her Hybrid yellow car, but her course of life changed after a minor accident. This simple car accident would lead to several weird killings. This pushed Maggie into a world of lies and intrigue with people she had never come across before. A life that tested her executive skills to the full and where she was forced to rethink her values and ethics with surprising results.
About the Author: BACKGROUND OF WRITER Judy Serventi was born in a cotton mill town in the North of England called Farnworth. She was the middle child of Edward, a fireman and Edith, a cotton weaver. She grew up in the war years when milk and eggs were the powdered kind but her extended family life was rich with fun and laughter. In 1960 she married Bruno, the son of an Italian immigrant whose family had an ice cream company. On reaching her mid forties, teaching and bringing up two wonderful sons she wanted more self-achievement and obtained a Fulbright Scholarship to America. The family moved there and a few years later, with the help of her husband, they developed an International Language school that catered for young executives from all over the world. They bought a Hotel on Miami Beach which housed the school, students, and tourists and had two Summer schools at M.I.T. Boston and another in Tampa Florida, however after 9/11 their large school population dwindled to 2 because of the difficulties obtaining student' visas. Undeterred, she made the necessary changes and built the school back up to over 100 students. Eventually the business was sold and Judy went into semi-retirement - teaching executives to make presentations and doing local consultation work. She had always loved to tell stories, it was a family pastime and the urge to write them down was now her passion. Her first attempt comes from the memories of her Grandmother on her Father's side. She knew her Grandmother traveled to England at the age of 16 alone to seek a better life and this was a desire the writer could relate to and of course, she repeated the aspiration. "Caty, the Woman" is the sequel to her first book, "Caty" which was shortlisted to reach the quarter finals of "Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award 2012". Judy's third book is in another genre, it is a murder mystery set in New York titled "The Visitor"
