Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Latein, Note: 1,3, Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Altertumswissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Ovid - Liebesdichtung, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ovid deutete an, dass es für die Verbannung an das Schwarze Meer zwei mögliche Gründe gäbe, nur einen davon aber benennt er direkt: die Ars amatoria, die an einigen Stellen die augusteische Ehegesetzgebung verspottet. Doch auch wenn gewisse Faktoren dagegen sprechen, dass dieses Werk der Grund für seine Verbannung sein könnte - zwischen der Veröffentlichung und der Verbannung lagen etwa acht Jahre - scheint Ovid dennoch genug Macht in seiner Liebeskunst zu sehen, um für solch eine Reaktion sorgen zu können. Der zu interpretierende Abschnitt nun, die Verse 641 bis 668, liegt im zweiten Buch der Liebeskunst, befassen sich also auch mit dem Festigen und Erhalten der Liebe. Genauer befasst er sich damit, wie durch das geschickte Umformulieren von weiblichen Fehlern ein Gewöhnungseffekt an eben diese Makel erreicht werden kann. Auf diese Weise soll die junge Liebe weniger schnell zu erschüttern sein. Die von Ovid vorgeschlagenen Wortumdeutungen sollen in dieser Arbeit unter verschiedenen Punkten Beachtung finden. Zum einen soll die lateinische Sprache in Bezug auf unvorteilhafte und vorteilhafte Personenbezeichnungen hin überprüft werden. Welche Worte sind für die Beschreibung einer römischen Frau passend? Welche wären passend, haben aber einen Unterton, der beleidigend oder auch schmeichelnd sein kann? Die sprachliche Analyse soll auch unter anderen Punkten stattfinden, etwa, wo die Ars amatoria deutlich die Form eines Lehrgedichtes annimmt. Weiterhin soll eine kulturelle Analyse der ausgewählten Verse in Bezug auf die Schönheitsideale der Antike stattfinden. Indem Ovid beschreibt, wie eine Frau zu bezeichnen ist, damit entweder sie sich geschmeichelt fühlt oder der Betrachter einen Makel als etwas Schönes wahrnimmt, kann herausgelesen werden, was für den antiken Römer zum all
