About the Book

On a trek to the Himalayas, in search of the self, in search of Mahaavtaar Babaji, a superstar reminisces the last sixty years of his life. And herein began the journey of a poor boy who rose from the ashes of poverty to the zenith of popularity, to become one of the highest paid film actors in the world. The Warrior Within is the story of a star torn between the material and the spiritual. It tells of Rajinikanth's journey into the realms of the unknown alongside his world of films; his spiritual leanings in contrast with his vices and his indiscretions; his meditative and monk-like demeanour versus his daredevilry, moodiness and volatility; as well as his philanthropy, his wit; his politics and his business acumen. Does Shivaji find himself? Does he win the war-within, and without?
About the Author: Born and brought up in Mumbai, India, Seema travelled the word early in life while working as a flight attendant. She later decided to pursue her passion and, to retain her independence she free-lanced with the media-writing copy, for radio and television, for av, s and theatre, even as she dabbled in radio presenting and production. Her father being a well-known music composer of The Indian Film Industry, Seema was naturally drawn to the world of cinema. She is the writer, presenter and producer of a 13-CD album released by Saregama, 100 Years of Hindi Film Music. Her forthcoming works are: Catty KT: A girl adventure series wherein each book takes the reader through the life and adventures of Kajal and her celestial friend Muttoo, the cloud! Monsoon Earth-Mee: This is the story of Saanchi, a filmmaker. Vacillating between her present in Mumbai, Mcloedganj, and Manali, and her past in Punjab, Saanchi relives her love story amidst the bloodied riots and the partition of India and Pakistan. It is also the story of CJ, an ex-model and an advertising honcho who falls passionately in love with Saanchi. Deedara: A mountain of a man, a man birthed from the fertile soils of Punjab, Deedara is the life story of Dara Singh, and his transition from a poor but champion farmer, to a world champion wrestler, to a film star and finally to a Rajya Sabha MP.
