Auch wenn gelegentlich von einer Abkühlung der Web-2.0-Euphorie berichtet wird, beginnt für viele Branchen jetzt die Zeit, in der pragmatisch über Vor- und Nachteile einzelner Anwendungen und Sinnhaftigkeit des Einsatzes diskutiert wird. So prüft dieses Buch, ob die bislang eher zurückhaltende Einstellung gegenüber Web-2.0-Anwendungen bei deutschen Finanzdienstleistern berechtigt ist. Auf Basis von Forschungsarbeiten im "E-Finance Lab" der Goethe-Uni Frankfurt führen die Autoren in Thematik und Begriffe von Web 2.0 ein, fassen die technischen, gesellschaftlichen sowie ökonomischen Rahmenbedingungen zusammen und arbeiten die besonderen Herausforderungen für Finanzdienstleister heraus, die diese von anderen Branchen unterscheidet. Den Kern des Buches bildet die strukturierte Darstellung von Web-2.0-Tools mit konkreten Hinweisen für oder wider den sinnvollen Einsatz im Retail Banking.

About the Author: Christian Messerschmidt ist an der Professur für Electronic Commerce der Goethe-Universität als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter tätig.
Dr. Sven C. Berger, gelernter Bankkaufmann, promovierte als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Electronic Commerce an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt und ist als Referent in der Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin) tätig.
Prof. Dr. Bernd Skiera hat den Lehrstuhl für Electronic Commerce an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main inne, ist im Vorstand des eFinance-Lab und Projektleiter im von der Commerzbank unterstützten Retail-Banking Competence Center und unterrichtet an der Goethe Business School im Rahmen des Executive MBA-Programms mit der Fuqua School of Business an der Duke University.
