Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Pädagogische Psychologie, Note: 2,7, Universität Siegen (Fakultät II: Bildung - Archtektur - Künste), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im ersten Teil beschäftige ich mich zunächst mit einer theoretischen Annäherung an das Störungsbild, d.h. ich beginne mit der Definition und Begriffserklärung des Terminus "Mutismus", wobei ich ältere und neuere Begrifflichkeiten und Synonyme auf ihre Gültigkeit untersuche. Darauf folgt die Klassifikation der Störung und die Differenzierung zwischen dem "Totalen" und dem "(S)elektiven Mutismus", gefolgt von den diagnostischen Verfahren. Darauf folgend schildere ich die Symptomatik. Ich werde mich im Anschluss dann der Epidemiologie, also der Verbreitung und Geschlechtsabhängigkeit der Störung zuwenden und daraufhin auf die Ursachen und Hintergründe (Ätiologie) der Entstehung der Krankheit hinweisen. Im Anschluss daran möchte ich abschließend auf die therapeutischen Möglichkeiten eingehen. Der zweite Teil meiner Arbeit widmet sich der Praxis. Ich widme mich zunächst dem Phänomen des Schulmutismus nach DOBSLAFF (2005). Danach soll es um die Problematik von mutistischen Kindern in der Schule gehen. In diesem Zusammenhang soll es dann um die Grundsätze im Umgang von Lehrpersonal mit mutistischen Kindern gehen. Auch möchte ich kurz auf die Frage der (mündlichen) Benotung mutistischer Kinder eingehen. Danach kläre ich den Begriff der Kommunikation und die Folgen gestörter sprachvermittelter Kommunikation aufzeigen. Darauf folgt die Erörterung nonverbaler Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten zwischen Schüler und Lehrer und Maßnahmen zur Förderung verbaler Kommunikation in der Schule. Abschließend werde ich einen Blick auf eine aktuell laufende statistische Erhebung der Technischen Universität Dortmund, in der es um selektiv mutistische Kinder an Grund- und Förderschulen in NRW geht.
