About the Book

Anita Elena Beloiu, a noteworthy Romanian poet, seamlessly weaves emotions, imagery, and introspection into her verses. From a young age, her literary talents shone brightly, earning her accolades in prose and poetry competitions. Her journey as a wordsmith began in earnest when, under the guidance of esteemed Russian-Irish writer Anatoly Kudryavitsky, she ventured into the realm of haiku-style poetry. This momentous step led to the publication of her work and a subsequent invitation to recite her verses at the Festival of World Cultures in Dublin, Ireland.
What sets Anita apart is her unique ability to blend words with other art forms. Her foray into photography and painting gave rise to captivating exhibitions, starting in Dublin and later in Romania. These exhibitions became a canvas where her poetry, visual art, and photography converged, creating immersive experiences for her audience.
One significant milestone was the exhibition "Goddess in Oil, Light, and Words" held at the Astra Library in Sibiu, Romania. This event marked Anita's poignant return to her roots and her establishment in Sibiu, a city steeped in history and culture.
In 2020, Anita Elena Beloiu unveiled her first poetry volume, "Alb," ("White"), a testament to her prowess in capturing profound sentiments in verse. Following this success, her second volume, "Alb-Astru" ("Astral-White Blue," 2023), emerged, further solidifying her place in the world of contemporary Romanian poetry. Published by Coresi Publishing House SRL in Bucharest, Romania, Anita's work continues to resonate with readers, inviting them into a world where emotions are expressed with elegance and raw honesty.
Anita Elena Beloiu's literary journey is a testament to her unwavering dedication to the craft. Her ability to evoke emotions and provoke introspection through her words, paintings, and photographs showcases her multidimensional artistic prowess. As readers delve into her volumes, they embark on a journey of self-discovery and contemplation, guided by the brushstrokes of her vivid imagery and the cadence of her heartfelt verses.
"White"-the present volume-delves deep into themes of love, betrayal, suffering, longing, and the profound connections between present individuals and their ancestors. It also explores the intricate interplay between earthly life and the vast expanse of the cosmos.
The poem "Paradise is a Field of Rapeseed Flowers" encapsulates the transient yet vivid beauty of life, and the resilience to embrace new beginnings. The imagery of rapeseed flowers serves as a poignant metaphor for renewal and transformation.
"The Ancestors Await Your Listening" calls for a deeper understanding of one's heritage and the wisdom embedded within our lineage. It emphasizes the importance of truly listening to the voices of those who came before us.
"I Encounter You in the Black Waters of the Seaside Customs..." evokes a sense of profound connection and unity amidst the vastness of nature. The imagery of the sea, sky, and the moon's reflection amplifies the theme of intertwined destinies.
"You, Me, We Mirrored in Feelings" explores a complex relationship, marked by strength and restraint. The imagery of erasing suffering with a sponge and the unspoken depths of emotion vividly portray the intricacies of the bond.
"The Stars Watch Us in Silence" paints a poignant picture of yearning and the challenges of expressing profound emotions. The poem speaks to the enduring power of love, transcending physical distance and earthly obstacles.
Overall, "White" appears to be a collection of poems that delves into the depths of human emotion and connection. It navigates the complexities of love and suffering, weaving a tapestry of relevant reflections. Anita Elena Beloiu's poetic voice appears to be one of introspection, where each poem carries layers of meaning waiting to be unraveled by the reader.
