Unternehmen wollen innovative Produkte vor der Konkurrenz auf den Markt bringen. Dies erzeugt auf die Organisation einen enormen Wettbewerbsdruck. Innovationen sind etwas "Neuartiges" nicht nur dem Grade nach (Hamel 1996: 323ff.). Um etwas wirklich Neuartiges herzustellen, bedarf es Anstrengung und es müssen bisher nicht dagewesene Wege beschritten werden. Der Innovationsprozess ist von destruktiver Art und Weise. Er stellt das bisherige Herrschaftswissen in Frage, zerstört etablierte Beziehungen und regt zum Überdenken bisheriger Verhaltensweisen an. Andererseits wird an die Stelle des Alten schöpferisch und konstruktiv etwas Neues gesetzt (Hauschildt/Salomo 2007: 11). Diese Veränderungen haben intra- und interorganisationale Auswirkungen, die Widerstand gegen die Veränderung hervorrufen können. Frost und Egri bezeichnen Individuen als personifizierten Widerstand im Innovationsprozess, der als Konflikt zwischen Wandel und Status Quo angesehen werden kann (Frost/Egri 1991: 271). Für die Interaktion aller am Innovationsprozess Beteiligten ist es wichtig, dass diese zielführend im Bezug auf den Innovationserfolg gerichtet ist und in gegenseitiger Achtung verläuft. Dies ist aus organisationaler wie gesellschaftlicher Sicht wünschenswert und unterstreicht in diesem Zusammenhang die Relevanz des Themas. 1.1 Problemstellung Im Folgenden soll als Forschungsfrage untersucht werden: Ist es zweckmäßig Widerstand von am Innovationsprozess direkt Beteiligten mit der Inanspruchnahme von Macht bzw.
