La, il enseigne les mathematiques ou peint, travaille dans une exploitation agricole ou ecrit des poemes. Durant sa vie, il ne cessera de traduire maitrisant couramment une douzaine de langues. Son Winnie ille Pu, d'abord tire a trois cents exemplaires en 1958 dans une petite maison d'edition de Sao Paulo, est le seul ouvrage en latin a etre entre dans la liste des best-sellers du New-York Times. Christopher Robin et son fameux ours en peluche Winnie, Cochonnet, Hibou et tous les autres animaux merveilleux qui peuplent la foret des Cent Acres s'expriment dans un latin impeccable que les debutants ou les lettres gouteront avec une joie et une curiosite enfantines.
About the Author: A.A. MILNE est ne a Londres en 1882. Il commenca a ecrire en tant que collaborateur au magazine Punch. Il ecrivit egalement des pieces de theatre et de la poesie. En 1926 A.A.Milne publia ses premieres histoires de Pooh qui furent un succes immediat. Depuis, Winnie le-Pooh est devenu un ours de reputation mondiale, et les histoires de Milne ont ete traduites en trente et une langues differentes. Les personnages de Winnie, Ticochon, Hi-Han, Tigre, Kangou et Rou sont fondes sur les vrais jouets d'enfant qui appartenaient au fils de A.A.Milne, Christopher Robin, et leurs aventures se situent dans la Foret d'Ashdown ou Milne et sa famille vivaient. On peut encore apprecier aujourd'hui de nombreux endroits de la Foret peints par E.H.Shepard. E.H. SHEPARD se fit connaitre comme 'l'Homme qui dessina Pooh, ' mais fut egalement, lui meme, un artiste salue. Ne en 1879, il obtint une bourse pour l'Academie Royale des Beaux-Arts, et plus tard, comme Milne, travailla pour le magazine Punch, comme caricaturiste et illustrateur. Les illustrations pleines d'esprit et de tendresse que Shepard fit de Winnie et de ses amis dans le Bois des Cent Arpents sont devenues une partie inseparable des histoires de Winnie, et ses illustrations sont devenues, elles-memes, des classiques. C'est la combinaison inspiree des illustrations de E.H.Shepard et les histoires de A.A.Milne qui ont donne aux livres leur attrait durable. Dramaturge et auteur, Florient Azoulay a adapte pour le theatre Dostoievski, Hamsun ou Rostand.
