When women embark on opportunities for a desired, career there are many factors that they consider. Research has shown that one of the most important factors is experience. The author has 28 years of experience as an Information Technology (IT) professional. It is that experience and the fulfillment received in that work that inspired the writing and the release this book. This book is filled with inspiration, empowerment, and wisdom obtained through the culmination of 4.5 years of empirical research. There is complete excitement with a desire to pour success into every woman led to embrace and benefit from this book's content. For 28 years, the author was the only female in an IT department with all men. She pressed her way into management through gender, race, and body discrimination. Although she felt extremely blessed to do what she loved to do, Dr. Jones reveals through the narratives of other current women professions in the field that there are still obstacles and challenges in the process to level up. Women are 51% of the population and should be represented equally in this high-paying career field. Computers do not know; neither would they care about the gender of their operators or programmers. This "technically" makes gender an absolute non-factor in all professional positions in the field. The author's desires to encourage women to keep going and never give up in this very lucrative high-paying field. It is believed that it will serve as a healing process for the author, and as an assistant to other women to escape or redirect themselves away from the pain that has been caused in the past when pursuing this career path. This book can also be used as a study guide and decision-making planner in what education/certification achievements to pursue. It can be utilized to help women overcome cultural, gender, conscience, and un-conscience bias and produce courage of spirit. It is recommended that women in hegemonic technical fields utilize this book as a support system of strategies to leap over glass ceilings of gender and pay discrimination, and courageously cope with personal and family challenges. Dr. Jones declares this book to be an empowerment for women to move into positions of power to make the necessary changes to level the field for women winning in IT!
