English summary: The conditions for the generation and dissemination of knowledge and information have changed since the time when intellectual property law attained its present form. These changes constitute challenges for intellectual property law, in particular for rights which aim at promoting innovation (such as patents) or cultural diversity (such as copyright). The contributions to this volume examine the changes from an interdisciplinary and a legal perspective and discuss possible reactions of patent and copyright law. German description: Seit der Zeit, in der die Rechte des geistigen Eigentums ihre heutige Form gewonnen haben, haben sich die Rahmenbedingungen fur die Entstehung und Verbreitung von Wissen und Information verandert. Neben vertikale Innovation, die in einem Unternehmen oder einer Forschergruppe stattfindet, tritt ahorizontale Innovation, die durch eine gleichzeitige Tatigkeit vieler Akteure gekennzeichnet ist. Neben die alleinige Urheberschaft tritt die kollektive Erstellung von Werken in Netzwerken wie Wikipedia. Das Internet erlaubt einen unmittelbaren Kontakt des Produzenten und des Rezipienten von Wissen und lasst so die Rolle von Informationsmittlern in neuem Licht erscheinen. Diese Veranderungen stellen vor allem fur die Schutzrechte eine Herausforderung dar, die wie das Patent der Innovationsforderung oder wie das Urheberrecht der Forderung der kulturellen Vielfalt dienen. Der vorliegende Band enthalt die Vortrage, am 22. und 23. Mai 2009 auf einer Tagung an der Universitat Bayreuth zu diesem Thema gehalten wurden. Die Beitrage behandeln die Veranderungen der Innovationslandschaft aus interdisziplinarer Sicht, die Verbreitung von Wissen in der Informationsgesellschaft und die aktuellen Herausforderungen fur das Patent- und Urheberrecht. In einem Bericht werden die Ergebnisse der Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema Open Access zusammengefasst.
About the Author: Stefan Leible, ist Direktor der Forschungsstelle fur Wirtschafts- und Medienrecht (FWMR) an der Universitat Bayreuth und Vizeprasident fur internationale Angelegenheiten und Aussenkontakte.Ansgar Ohly, ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls fur Burgerliches Recht, Recht des Geistigen Eigentums und Wettbewerbsrecht an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat Munchen und standiger Gastprofessor an der University of Oxford undHerbert Zech, Geboren 1974; Studium der Rechtswissenschaften in Erlangen und Munchen; 2001 Zweites Juristisches Staatsexamen; 2003 Promotion; Studium der Biologie in Kaiserslautern; 2012 Habilitation; derzeit Extraordinarius fur Privatrecht mit Schwerpunkt Life Sciences - Recht an der Universitat Basel.
