About the Book

Are you or have you ever been a victim? Wouldn't we always love to say - me - no way! Never! But the truth is - we have all been victims - victims of consequences by reason of circumstances. This means because of random things happening to us. What you and I need to be are survivors. We can have recourse through simple things from a smile to a noisy neighbor to the ultimate consequence such as terminating a parent's rights. You and I need to be on a quest to find our own unique voice. I use the lyrics in songs to reach our inner self. Once we find our inner voice through inner strength, or with the help of others, we can hopefully all aspire to live in a harmonious world. Faith in ourselves in our family, friends, neighbors, and communities can give us all a sense of hope, love, charity, empathy and peace in our society and globally in our diverse world. Topics include: Types of Abuse, Cycles of Abuse, Intergenerational Cycles of Abuse, The First Amendment, Defamation Online and Offline, "Abuse" By Any Other Name Is Still "Abuse", Bullying and Cyberbulling, Power of the Social Media, Remedies - Catch this Behavior Before it Catches Your Child, Developing Empathy, Positive Behavior Responses, Understanding The Constitution, Possible Solutions After bullying Has Occurred, To Err Is Human - To Forgive is Humane, Conflict Resolution, Victim vs. Survivor, A Parent Is a Lifelong Commitment, Women Helping Women, The Internet Gilded Cage, Human Trafficing, Sexting, The School's Failure To Protect Or Supervise.
