Wolfe Cribari - An Exceptional Life!
THEN AND NOW: Dad's words are pertinent and resonant.
IMMIGRANTS:
Are we less American because we cherish and honor our fathers and their birth land and our heritage?
At the gates of America you left behind things that America doesn't want. Hatred of old-time neighbors, national prejudice, traditional fears. They are inconsistent with the American idea of freedom.
RACISM:
Of all the alien enemies in our midst, the most alien to the democratic principles, the most destructive of national unity, is race prejudice. Like other dangerous germs, it flourishes in darkness and only the sunlight of understanding and good will destroys it.
EDUCATION:
Cultivate an open mind.
Always listen to the man who knows.
Never laugh at new ideas.
Research ways of getting along with other people.
Cultivate habits of success.
Have ambition to fit your ability.
It's never too late to learn.
Never lose faith in yourself.
Whatever you put into life, you get out of it.
LAW:
There's too much law.
Uncertainty about law is from the inability to say what we mean.
Since the law is the temporary command of our rulers and in a democracy the rulers are the majority, therefore, any fault lies with the people not judges or lawyers.
