About the Author: A. William Benitez was born into construction and worked weekends and summers with his father, a general contractor building homes and commercial buildings in Tampa, Florida. He was a general contractor before starting his woodworking business. He preferred the woodworking business because it seldom required the use of subcontractors who often created problems with customers by being unreliable. In the woodworking business he could always deliver what he promised because he wasn't dependent on someone else for part of the job. Over more than 20 years in the woodworking business, first in Tampa, Florida and then in Austin, Texas, he designed, built, and installed hundreds of large and small cabinet and furniture projects for both residential and commercial customers and developed a reputation that kept him busy year around with little advertising. During these years he began writing about his experiences and this led him to establish his publishing company to make this information available to other woodworkers. He owns and operates Positive Imaging, LLC a publisher of how-to and self improvement books on many topics and now lives in Austin, Texas with his wife Barbara who is also a writer.
