About the Author: Wendell Wellman is a professional screenwriter who has worked on many successful films with high profile producers. His first work to hit the big screen was Clint Eastwood's
Firefox, and he has written for Mr. Eastwood on other films, including
Sudden Impact. He has recently finished a new screenplay,
ID, and has several other scripts in development. Wendell has also just completed a new book,
A Writer's Road Map. Besides being a successful writer, Mr. Wellman is an accomplished actor who has worked in film, television, and theater for more than a decade. His work includes memorable roles in the films
Sudden Impact, Somersby, Curfew, and
Streets of Dreams. Mr. Wellman has worked with Clint Eastwood, Richard Gere, Jodie Foster, Bill Pullman, Morgan Fairchild, Lee Marvin, and many others. He founded the West End Theater Company, an acclaimed professional group in Los Angeles, which has produced major plays, several of which Mr. Wellman wrote and starred in. Wendell received his M.A. in English Literature from UCLA, and taught at UCLA's Extension classes for five years. He has taught at The Learning Annex, is a repeat guest lecturer with Sony Studios's "Storyboard Group," and teaches professional classes within his theater.
