About the Book

Science fiction, or science plus fiction? When his wife leaves him, a lawyer from New York called Lepton Kwaark has a mid-life crisis. He goes off to Alice Springs in Australia to investigate UFO sightings there. He wants to write a book on the subject of UFOs and ETs, based on interviews with prominent authors. He is accompanied on his travels by a billionaire heiress from Los Angeles.
About the Author: Richard-Warren Strong is an Australian expatriate author (novelist, short story and essay writer) who lives in France and writes in both French and English. Born in Melbourne in 1943, he was educated at Carey Grammar School, and then at Trinity Grammar School where he was a boarder for nearly four years. After completing high school, he went to live in Sydney to study Science at the University of Sydney, but dropped out after several years, worked for a few months as clerk for the Commonwealth Employment Service in Bondi Junction, then went to Europe by ship in May 1966. After travelling for six months (through Greece, Italy, France, England, Belgium and Germany), he found a job as messenger at the Australian Embassy in Paris. He settled in Paris in early 1967 and later in the year began a course in French literature at the Sorbonne. He began writing the novel 'Overlanders' and another autobiographical novel 'The Expatriate's Game', which relates this first year in Europe. On completing his bachelor's degree in 1970, he worked as an English teacher at Orleans University, and later at several different universities in Paris, while pursuing his studies in literature and linguistics (maîtrise, doctorat). In 1982, he was appointed head of the English language department at the newly-created MBA school at Tours, where he worked for nearly two years. In 1985, following a post-graduate course in Business Information Systems, he began a new career as computer project manager for an airline freight company based in Tours, then worked as software salesman, translator and technical writer in aeronautics until retirement in 2008. Richard-Warren Strong has made many trips back to Australia since 1966, including a full sabbatical year in 2000. He lives in Paris and has two children. Since 2002, he has published 16 books including novels, short stories, essays and poetry.
