About the Author:
Anna Claybourne is an award-winning science writer, and has written many books for Usborne Publishing, A&C Black and Franklin Watts. She writes mainly non-fiction, covering topics such as science, art, wildlife and fashion, but has also published books about Shakespeare, myths and legends and retellings of literary classics. She is based in Edinburgh.
Thomas Canavan has written more than 50 books for children and young adults. He specialises in science writing, but has also written books about history, maths, art, and even kids' joke books. Under his real name, Sean Connolly, he has won awards for a well-known series of humorous children's science experiments books, and has regularly toured North America to promote them. He lives in rural Wiltshire with his wife and their three children.
Claudia Martin has written extensively for children and young adults. She specializes in books on geography, history, technology, current affairs and the natural world. She lives in London.
Katie Kear is a young British illustrator who has been creating artwork for as long as she can remember. She loves creating new worlds and characters, and hopes to spread joy and happiness with her illustrations!
Ocean Hughes is a talented children's illustrator based in the South of Wales. A graduate of Swansea College of Art, her work has featured in children's books, magazines, stationery, and more. Her preferred materials are digital, gouache, coloured pencil, and watercolour.
