Secrets of the Sun, the second book of the Kopaz series, saw Jeannie LoneTree and Danny Roberts transported to the ancient land of Kopaz. Now, as young gods on probation, they have access to more power than they would have imagined for two teens from a rough-and-tumble Wyoming mining camp.
Despite their new standing, Jeannie and Danny remain threatened by the ongoing war between the supreme gods of the universe. Soon after arriving on Kopaz, they find themselves beset by agents of Mochcom, himself a disciple of the dark lord Zuron. Jeannie is imprisoned by the Quorum of High Priests, the Goroms, while Danny falls under a vicious onslaught.
As far as Jeannie knows, her love is dead, but the gods have other plans. Under the tutelage of Quill, emissary of the supreme god Viracocha, Danny struggles to master his powers and exact vengeance on the Goroms.
A battle is about to begin for control of the power governing endless youth. And if Jeannie and Danny's new power proves insufficient, their hopes might reside in a weapon their enemies underestimate-an education in the school of hard knocks, forged on the unforgiving streets of CoalVille.
About the Author: Dale Groutage is the coauthor of five books and a columnist for the Casper Star-Tribune. He was born and raised in Reliance, Wyoming, a poverty-stricken coal camp in the state's southwestern desert. Groutage's childhood reading inspired him to pursue a better life, leading to BS, MS, and PhD degrees from the University of Wyoming.
While serving as a senior scientist for the US Navy, Groutage developed missile guidance and submarine silencing technology. He was inducted into the University of Wyoming Engineering Hall of Fame for his service to his country and honored as one of the top ten engineers in federal government by the National Society of Professional Engineers.
Now retired, Groutage is married with three kids. The former adjunct professor for the University of California and University of Washington lives on a small ranch in Lander, Wyoming. Jeannie and Danny's adventures will conclude in War of the Gods.
