Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Arbeit, Betrieb, Organisation und Wirtschaft, Note: 1,3, Hochschule Fresenius; Köln, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit wird den Zusammenhang zwischen narzisstischen Persönlichkeitseigenschaften und dem Führungsverhalten untersuchen, welches mit Hilfe der Aufgaben- und Mitarbeiterorientierung einer Führungsperson operationalisiert wird. In der Literatur herrscht die Annahme, dass eine hohe Mitarbeiterorientierung, verbunden mit einer hohen Aufgabenorientierung das ideale Führungsverhalten darstellt. Aufbauend auf dieser Annahme wird theoretisch und empirisch untersucht, zu welchem Führungsverhalten narzisstische Führungskräfte neigen. Zur Untersuchung des Führungsverhaltens wurde der FVVB (Fragebogen zur Vorgesetzten-Verhaltens-Beschreibung von Fittkau-Garthe & Fittkau, 1971) herangezogen. Dieser wurde mit Teilen des NPI (Narcissistic Personality Inventory in der Version von Raskin & Terry, 1988) ergänzt, um narzisstische Merkmale zu erfassen. Zusätzlich wurden Eigenschaften des Fünf-Faktoren-Modells der Persönlichkeit (FFM) abgefragt, deren Subskalen mit denen der oben genannten Verfahren in Zusammenhang gebracht wurden. Ein deutlicher Zusammenhang zwischen Narzissmus und dem Führungsverhalten zeigt sich bei der Aufgabenorientierung einer Führungsperson. Diese beschreibt eine instrumentelle Zuwendung zu den Aufgaben des Unternehmens. Die Mitarbeiterorientierung äußert sich durch die Beachtung zwischenmenschlicher Beziehungen im Unternehmen. Dabei wurde kein Zusammenhang zum Narzissmus festgestellt, was eventuell darauf zurückzuführen ist, dass narzisstische Führungskräfte wenig Interesse an den Bedürfnissen der geführten Mitarbeiter haben.
