About the Book

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Set in a Barcelona full of contrasts, Last Afternoons with Teresa tells of the loves of Pijoaparte, a typical working-class girl whose highest aspiration is to reach social prestige, and Teresa, a beautiful blonde daughter of the Catalán bourgeoisie. The characters in this novel, at once romantic and sarcastic, already belong to the gallery of portraits that shape an era. A landmark in contemporary Spanish literature, this work established its author's name around the world.
